cpp-mips64-linux-gnuabi64 software package provides GNU C preprocessor (cpp) for the mips64 architecture, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cpp-mips64-linux-gnuabi64
cpp-mips64-linux-gnuabi64 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cpp-mips64-linux-gnuabi64 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cpp-mips64-linux-gnuabi64 *
